Love stops the cooking to hug the child.
Love sets aside decorating to kiss the husband.
Love is kind, though harried and tired.
Love doesn't envy another's home that has coordinated Christmas china and table linens.
Love doesn't yell at the kids to get out of the way, but is thankful they are there to be in the way.
Love doesn't give only to those who are able to give in return but rejoices in giving to those who can't.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.
Video games will break, pearl necklaces will be lost, golf clubs will rust.
But giving the gift of love will endure.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Day
It was a wonderful Christmas for the Eberharts! The kids woke us up around 5 am-I got a picture of them waiting at the top of the stairs for the ok to come down and see what Santa brought. We finally let them come into the living room and they were just as excited as always. Malachi didn't know what to do first, he just sat there looking at the gifts Santa had brought him! Rachel, Rebecca, and Aubrey were happy with there gifts. The girls both got North Face jackets-just what they wanted-and Aubrey got the Harry Potter series books-exactly what he wanted. Chayce got the video game he asked for and the movie he wanted. When they looked in their stockings they were shocked to find out they also got ipod nanos for Christmas! Santa's a little sneaky sometimes...........hehe. Santa also left a Wii system on the hearth and Chayce was the first to find it. I got lots of pictures of them with all their gifts and playing with the Wii. Everyone was happy with their gifts-and I was happy seeing them play with them. It was a great Christmas!
Christmas Eve
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve! All my kids came over and we exchanged gifts with each other. Alyssa and Seth surprised me with a Mickey's Clock Shop just like the one I had before the fire. I used to drive Alyssa crazy with that thing. You could hear Rachel and Rebecca groaning for miles........haha. Frank gave me a new camera-I couldn't wait to start taking pictures. We had gifts piled around the tree so deep we barely fit in the living room. Rachel was chosen to play "Santa" this year and pass out the presents. I think everyone really enjoyed what they got.
After we did the gift exchange we got ready and headed to church for the candlelight service. It was a lovely service! We didn't go to the inlaws this year-a change from out usual routine. Instead we came back home and watched Chayce's new movie then, after the kids went to bed, Frank and I settled back and watched It's a Wonderful Life and relaxed a bit before Santa came.

We went to Stone Mountain yesterday for their Christmas celebration and had a blast! We nearly froze our tushies off, too...LOL! We saw snow!! We saw most of the attractions-the 4D presentation of the Polar Express was awesome! All hte kids loved it as much as Frank and I did, even with the cold. It's definitely worth seeing.

Rachel's 14th Birthday
I took Rachel, Rebecca, and their friend Haley ice skating for Rachel's 14th birthday. They had a ball, but I nearly froze waiting on them. There was no way I was getting out on that ice! The place was packed with people of all ages, I couldn't believe that many people went ice skating! The girls had a wonderful time, but came home pretty bruised from all the spills they took-wish I could have gotten pictures of those---LOL!

The Christmas Tree is up
Rachel and Rebecca put up our tree this year. We had fun watching them trying to figure out how to put an artificial tree together. It took them a few tries before they realized that the branches were color coded-I was startiing to wonder if we were going to have an upside-down tree! It didn't take them long once they figured it out and it turned out looking pretty good for their first-time efforts. They even decorated it themselves with the lights and ornaments. I was just thankful for their help and the fact that I didn't have to do it this year.
2nd set of cards
I finished my second set of cards and got them mailed out. I forgot to take a picture of them before I mailed them. They turned out pretty good, but I am not sure i am going to be able to get them all done in time for Christmas! I never realized how time-consuming homemade Christmas cards can be. But it's so much fun.........
