Love stops the cooking to hug the child.
Love sets aside decorating to kiss the husband.
Love is kind, though harried and tired.
Love doesn't envy another's home that has coordinated Christmas china and table linens.
Love doesn't yell at the kids to get out of the way, but is thankful they are there to be in the way.
Love doesn't give only to those who are able to give in return but rejoices in giving to those who can't.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.
Video games will break, pearl necklaces will be lost, golf clubs will rust.
But giving the gift of love will endure.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Day
It was a wonderful Christmas for the Eberharts! The kids woke us up around 5 am-I got a picture of them waiting at the top of the stairs for the ok to come down and see what Santa brought. We finally let them come into the living room and they were just as excited as always. Malachi didn't know what to do first, he just sat there looking at the gifts Santa had brought him! Rachel, Rebecca, and Aubrey were happy with there gifts. The girls both got North Face jackets-just what they wanted-and Aubrey got the Harry Potter series books-exactly what he wanted. Chayce got the video game he asked for and the movie he wanted. When they looked in their stockings they were shocked to find out they also got ipod nanos for Christmas! Santa's a little sneaky sometimes...........hehe. Santa also left a Wii system on the hearth and Chayce was the first to find it. I got lots of pictures of them with all their gifts and playing with the Wii. Everyone was happy with their gifts-and I was happy seeing them play with them. It was a great Christmas!
Christmas Eve
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve! All my kids came over and we exchanged gifts with each other. Alyssa and Seth surprised me with a Mickey's Clock Shop just like the one I had before the fire. I used to drive Alyssa crazy with that thing. You could hear Rachel and Rebecca groaning for miles........haha. Frank gave me a new camera-I couldn't wait to start taking pictures. We had gifts piled around the tree so deep we barely fit in the living room. Rachel was chosen to play "Santa" this year and pass out the presents. I think everyone really enjoyed what they got.
After we did the gift exchange we got ready and headed to church for the candlelight service. It was a lovely service! We didn't go to the inlaws this year-a change from out usual routine. Instead we came back home and watched Chayce's new movie then, after the kids went to bed, Frank and I settled back and watched It's a Wonderful Life and relaxed a bit before Santa came.

Stone Mountain Christmas
We went to Stone Mountain yesterday for their Christmas celebration and had a blast! We nearly froze our tushies off, too...LOL! We saw snow!! We saw most of the attractions-the 4D presentation of the Polar Express was awesome! All hte kids loved it as much as Frank and I did, even with the cold. It's definitely worth seeing.

Rachel's 14th Birthday
I took Rachel, Rebecca, and their friend Haley ice skating for Rachel's 14th birthday. They had a ball, but I nearly froze waiting on them. There was no way I was getting out on that ice! The place was packed with people of all ages, I couldn't believe that many people went ice skating! The girls had a wonderful time, but came home pretty bruised from all the spills they took-wish I could have gotten pictures of those---LOL!

The Christmas Tree is up
Rachel and Rebecca put up our tree this year. We had fun watching them trying to figure out how to put an artificial tree together. It took them a few tries before they realized that the branches were color coded-I was startiing to wonder if we were going to have an upside-down tree! It didn't take them long once they figured it out and it turned out looking pretty good for their first-time efforts. They even decorated it themselves with the lights and ornaments. I was just thankful for their help and the fact that I didn't have to do it this year.
2nd set of cards
I finished my second set of cards and got them mailed out. I forgot to take a picture of them before I mailed them. They turned out pretty good, but I am not sure i am going to be able to get them all done in time for Christmas! I never realized how time-consuming homemade Christmas cards can be. But it's so much fun.........

Christmas Cards
I decided to send out homemade Christmas cards this year, not realizing what I was getting myself into, and have finished the first five. I got them sent out-I don't know how many more I have to go, but I hope I get them all done before New Year's Day! These are two from the first set I did. I varied the tree a little, one has little rhinestones for the decorations, the other has stickles. I hand-colored the lights around the card with Bic pens.

Rachel and Rebecca's squad won 1st place in the Cheer-Off competition for 2008! And Rachel's group won in the Best Stunt category! They all did such a great job and worked so hard to achieve their goal. We are so proud of the entire squad and all the coaches for all their efforts. Way to go, Senior Black Squad!!

Chayce
Chayce sent us a picture of him from his cell phone. He has really slimmed down and looks great. He said Missouri is so cold, he hates it there. The weather starts out cold and just gets colder. Plus the base is in a mountanous (sp?) area and gets all the wind so they get the wind chill, too. He misses everyone and wishes he were at home. He loves the army, though, and is thinking of going regular army when he's done 6 months in the reserves. I'm not sure how I feel about that-there's a lot of traveling involved and I have already missed him so much with him being gone just this short amount of time. I don't know about having him live away from me.........

Anniversary card
I FINALLY broke through my fibro-fog and came up with an idea for my dad's anniversary card-before the anniversary. I was starting to think I was just going to have to buy a card and send it. I used the George cart to make the heart and outlined it in stickles to make it standout. It's simple, but I think they'll like it.
Forever Yours..........Faithfully
I love this song by Journey. It is kind of bizarre that while I was making the layout and before I had made the title the song came on the radio. I had already decided to use it for the title, but it was weird hearing it play while I was already singing it in my head. I really like this layout. i think it is probably going to be my favorite.

Gift tag for contest
Well, I am entering another contest-this one for gift tags. I have never tried to make one so I had no idea what to go with. I used the Christmas Cheer cart and cut out the stocking then decorated it with stickles and snow writer. I was afraid it would be too plain, but there just wasn't a whole lot of room to work with. Hope ya'll like it.

Pebbles and Bam-Bam
I just realized I haven't posted pics of my other "babies" yet. This is Pebbles and Bam-Bam, my little chihuahuas. Pebbles is the bigger one, although from the way she acts, you woulod think Bam-Bam was. Both of them are girls. They are also both 4 years old and weight right at 3 lbs each, but they are not sisters.

Rachel's Halloween Party Invitations
Rachel and I made these cards for her Halloween party invitations. She used the Cricut for the first time and used the Paper Dolls cart for the pumpkin. I used chalk to color the top of the pumpkin and put stickles on the vines to give it a little dimension. I think she did a really good job and we had fun working together.

Faithbooking
I have started a new scrapbook. It's called my faithbook-in it I write and scrap about different areas of my faith. This is the first page. The scripture is so appropriate to begin this album. I'm excited about how this album is going to look-it's really going to be a work in progress. There are so many different things I want to write about.

Baby Love
These pictures of Alyssa and Haley needed to be on something special and it took me awhile to come up with something that fit. I finally hit on the title, "Baby Love" and went from there. (Nothing is as sweet as baby love!). I already had the frames from another kit and just trimmed the pics to fit then outlined them in stickles. The "think pink" is from a sticker set. I outlined the letters with a marker to make them stand out more. I cut them using SCAL. I think it is such a sweet page.
Baby Facts
I found this sticker sheet and held onto it for awhile waiting to find just the right pictures to go with it. I finally put this group together and they all fit just right. Haley is by herself in the upper corners and with GrandDaddy in the lower corners. I'm not sure you can read the stickers from the picture I took of the page. but they are alll so cute and fit her to a T!
Baby Face
5 Months Old
Hats
Alyssa loves to put hats on Haley and she loves to wear them. I found this dingbat and used SCAL to cut it out. I mixed the two different papers to make the background a little more interesting and outlined everything in stickles for sparkle. My picture of the page doesn't really show the page as well as I would like. I liked the way it turned out-it's one of my favorites!
